Cooking Classes

Learn how to cook a traditional Caprese 3 course meal from a local Capri chef using recipes passed down through the family for generations. These classes are for lovers of authentic Italian cooking who enjoy meeting others and who have a passion for all things Caprese!

Classes are held every day starting at 10.00am or 4.30pm followed by lunch/dinner and are held in our outdoor kitchen in the garden of our villa in Anacapri.

Classes are limited to a minimum of 2 and maximum of 10 people. Bookings are essential and online bookings must be made no later than 24 hours before the day of the class. Classes in English and Italian.

Private classes are €200 per person.

• Cooking demonstration, class participation and digital photos
• Brunch/Spuntino & 3 course meal (as made by you of course)
• Michel’angelo extra virgin olive oil tasting, wine tasting and homemade limoncello digestivo
• Apron and recipes for you to take home
• Taxi transfer to and from our garden villa

In compliance with COVID restrictions, we are only holding private cooking classes in 2021. No group classes. Our kitchen is located outdoors and allows for social distancing.

Gianluca D’Esposito, the local chef and his wife, Holly Star have both been fully COVID vaccinated.

We begin with the light and refreshing Insalata Caprese using bufala mozzarella, moving on to the preparation of cheese filled fresh pasta Ravioli Capresi complete with a fresh tomato sauce and finishing with the delicious chocolate and almond Torta Caprese.

Starting with the cheese filled fresh pasta Ravioli Capresi with lemon sauce or our mouth-watering Fettucine al Limone and finishing with Delizia al Limone accompanied by a demonstration of how to make the famous lemon flavoured liqueur, Limoncello.

Using the recipes passed down through Gianluca’s family for generations, you will start by learning to make light and fluffy homemade gnocchi with garden basil pesto, moving on to the Monacone Pie (filled with beef meatballs, mozzarella and so many other tasty local ingredients) and finishing with the delicious Torta Caprese al Limone.
